  • Applicant must be a Nigerian citizen by birth or descent;
  • Applicants should not less than eighteen years or more than thirty five years of age;
  • Male applicant should not less than 1.7 metres in height and 1.64 metres for female applicant;
  • Have a fully expanded chest measurement of not less than 0.87 metres;
  • It is mandatory for the applicant to be certified by the Government Medical Officer to be physically and mentally fit for appointment in the service.   
  • Applicants suffering from any form of mental or physical inability can not apply;

  • WASC or SSSC credits are not less than 3 subjects, and at least 2 passes in other subjects; Or
  • The NECO / GCE general level is obtained in one or seven (5) subjects with passes in 4 subjects, in which 2 languages including English language are received.
  • Applicant should have a national diploma obtained from the recognized University / Institute.
  • The applicant should be NCE from the recognized institution; or
  • GCE (Advance Level) in 2 subjects received at 2 subjects or 3 subjects received in 2 meetings.
